One week off means batteries recharged.

It was a long time coming but this week just gone was half-term break for most schools in England. Boy, was it good to be able to just sit and relax and recharge my batteries. I feel like a whole new person.
From some points of view it looks like I haven’t achieved anything this week, but I have really. I’ve relaxed.
It is vital to take time out to relax. My husband never did and ended up with severe M.E. That’ll teach him! 🙂
Absolutely Tilly Bud. Severe M.E. is no laughing matter. Has your husband recovered at all?
No. Sixteen years on, he’s worse than he was. Because he never took time to relax.
Oh no Tilly Bud that is not good. I hope you find some respite soon.
Thanks 🙂
Fitting prose for a week like this 🙂
Thanks and thanks for your visit.
It seems to me that I usually need a week off to recover from vacation. I try to balance work & non-work, stress & stress reduction on a daily basis.
I agree, that’s partly why sitting at home was a great option rather than going away.
I think this is what keeps us all going. As they say – a rest is as good as a holiday.
Absolutely Fi, and sometimes a rest is better than a holiday!
I read to relax…and that includes reading blogs!
I like to get away sometimes too…and I do need to do that soon…but when we return it will be nice to be home again…that’s just how it is.
So glad you had a week off to relax.
Happy Saturday!
Linda
Happy Saturday to you too Linda! I love reading, I find getting lost in a book a fantastic way to relax into a different world. What are you reading at the moment?
Lovely relaxing photo, Georgia. I’m glad you made the most of your time off. 🙂
Thank you, me too.
Beautiful photo, Georgia!
Thanks Naomi
time out and relaxing is vital to sustainability!
Love the birdbath and seagull!
I absolutely agree, thanks Brenda
That’s what half terms are for, Georgia. Glad you made the most of it. (that header is blissful, by the way)
Thanks Jo, I probably didn’t make the most of my half-term but I did get maximum rest which is exactly what I needed this time around.
Do you mean the red sky with London skyline silhouetted? Thanks, I’m pretty proud of that pic too, hence it being my header 🙂
Yes, it’s a beauty! Aware that you left me a task that I haven’t completed, Georgia. It’s still on the list.
Don’t worry Jo, I know you’ve been busy and I think it took me a whole month to respond so don’t sweat it.
Take a lovely walk- listen to music, and read- or just draw!
Good on you Karen.
Its really hard for some people to relax so it is like getting something done! I love to read to relax 🙂
I guess I’m a bit like that. I can’t stand just sitting still to watch TV, I have to be knitting or DOING something as well.
Always good to have that time.
Absolutely MLissabeth
How do I get time off from retirement. When the family hears we are not busy someone wants to make us busy.
Ah, you must learn to keep secrets 😉
they are fascinating birds aren’t they? hopping by from SWS recharging is always a blessing good for you 🙂 ~janice rockin My Journey~ @myfamilyjaysactivity.blogspot.com
Thanks Janice, yes it is nice to take a little bit of respite in our busy lives. Thanks for stopping by.
A nice place to relax. 🙂
Ah yes, most definitely
