I liked the shape of this sculpture when I saw it at Botany Bay, the gate on top I’m pretty sure symbolises the location being a gateway to Sydney where white people first landed in 1770 as well as being a seaport and close to the airport. I probably should have read the sign next to this sculpture, I guess it explains the significance of the different coordinates shown.
