During our big trip to Morocco in 2012 we visited the ancient city of Volubilis. Our guide told stories about the people who lived there and their daily activities, bringing the ruins back to life as I imagined riding down the long boulevard through the city on horseback and going to parties in large houses with fabulous mosaic floors.
