Do you remember the film ‘Groundhog Day’? Apparently this week, various cities in the USA have relied upon a groundhog to determine how long it will be until their winter ends. I remember watching this film and thinking firstly that groundhogs were not a real animal, and secondly, huh?
This is a real thing, it is in the news and everything! According to the Telegraph, the groundhog from the film, Punxsutawney Phil, emerged from his lair and didn’t see his shadow. It appears that he had also written a note to be read out declaring that spring would come early, to much cheering and applause from the gathered crowd.
