Six Word Saturday:
Busyness of school events keep coming.
It was a busy week at work. The first of a series of parent-teacher nights happened, then yesterday was the swimming carnival. Next week is open night, the following week professional development, then the next parent-teacher night, which takes us almost up to the next holidays at Easter. As I always say though, I’d rather be busy than bored.
Yesterday’s swimming carnival was good fun. The students seemed quite calm and to enjoy the day. I had a role of recording results, which I actually quite enjoyed. I’m quite comfortable using computers and have had a job in the past working with databases so it felt like a good use of my skills. Maybe if I get better at photographing people I could join another colleague behind the camera some time.
Happy Saturday everyone!
Ah the joys of parent-teacher nights! I have them coming up in a couple of weeks. No swimming carnivals for us yet – that will be in July. 🙂
When it is warmer for you, of course Elaine 🙂
Or at least there is the hope that it might be warmer in July than now – although from previous experience the day of our swimming carnival/gala is often raining and cool (but at least it makes the water seem warmer to the children!).
Easter soon! Bring on the eggs 🙂
Yummy Jo. Do you go away at Easter time?
Not normally, Georgia. If you don’t have to have school holidays then it’s usually better to pick another time. But I do love Easter in the Algarve and Poland would be wonderful too. How about you? 🙂 2 weeks hols in Oz?
Yes, we get 2 weeks holidays then. I’ll be spending most of it in my hometown because my sister will have just had her second baby then. So exciting!
Swimming carnival! I have never heard it put that way…but it sounds fun!
Life was much busier for me when our kids were little…but now at 65 I am more like a turtle with one speed…slow! 🙂
But I do enjoy life…and try to keep up with what all is going on in the lives of my three daughters and our 11 grandkids! They are all such blessings!
Happy Saturday!

Enjoy the slower pace of life Linda. I’m not sure what other name to give the swimming carnival, what would you call it?
Sounds like a good time. Enjoy the busy-ness.
Thank you Mlissabeth, good times 🙂
have a nice weekend; thanks for dropping in at my blog today
much love…
