Share Your World – 2015 Week #4

Where did you live at age five?  Is it the same place or town you live now? At age five I lived in my hometown of Adelaide, South Australia. I have moved a few times since then to different parts of Australia and had a five year stint in London UK. I now live in Sydney.

Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it? Adelaide is a relatively small city which becomes more and more cosmopolitan each time I return for a visit. I liked it while I was growing up and I still like to visit now.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? When I was small I wanted to be a teacher. I used to line up all of my toys on my bed and teach to them. Then I would march them all over to my bookshelf and issue them with library books for the week.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself? It would depend on my mood. If I was in a good mood, feeling confident and convinced that I needed to meet all of these fascinating people then I would probably be OK to go by myself. However, as an introvert I could come up with any number of excuses not to go and quite happily spend the time on my couch with my nose in a book instead.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful that my first week back at work after the summer holidays went smoothly and didn’t leave me completely exhausted as I anticipated. I’ve just been measured up for a new contact lens for my transplanted eye which will give me far and away the best vision I’ve ever had so I’m looking forward to actually getting the new lens hopefully this week.
