You’re given $500,000 dollars tax free (any currency), what do you spend it on? This would either almost pay for a property to own, or completely pay for it depending on where we choose. I’ve never owned my own home but am looking to get on the property market in the not too distant future so this would be awesome.
What’s the finest education? Experience.
What kind of art is your favorite? Why? Any kind of impressionism style art, I think it is because I don’t have good eyesight and see everything with fuzzy edges anyway so impressionism sees the world with the same kind of clarity that I do. I have always loved Monet’s garden paintings, like this one.
Is there something that you memorized long ago and still remember? Somehow this came up last week with my other half but I’m not sure how. Anyway, about right-angled triangles I remember SOHCAHTOA which stands for: Sine = opposite / hypotenuse, Cosine = Adjacent / Hypotenuse, Tan = Opposite / Adjacent. I’m not really sure what this is useful for though.
I also remember a “hook” for remembering a series of things, where you create an image that you can remember to go with the following mnemonic: 1 is a bun, 2 is a shoe, 3 is a tree, 4 is a door, 5 is a hive, 6 is sticks, 7 is heaven, 8 is a gate…. then I’m not sure what comes next, anyway it is very useful for remembering lists of up to 8 items in order.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? For last week I’m grateful for a visit to the optometrist and the news that my vision can be corrected fairly well although with custom made lenses that may take a while to get to me. In the week coming up I’m looking forward to seeing a highly recommended movie (Gone Girl) and to having my other half home for a whole week at a time.

Monet is definitely my favourite painter.
Snap!
Great news about the lenses, Georgia. I looked up the ‘Gone Girl’ movie. It sounds very good. 🙂
I saw it last night Sylvia, it was fantastic, very well made and an edge of your seat story. I highly recommend it 🙂
