Perhaps it’s just be me but often when I have visited castles and palaces I’ve felt there is possibly a very fine line between opulence and kitsch. I’m sure that the pieces on display were beautiful to whoever placed them but sometimes I can’t help but find them kitsch, like this fountain at the Palace of Versailles.
