What is your favorite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal, drawing, cartoon or character in a movie or TV show) Of course my favourite dog in the world is my mum’s dog Lily. She is getting old now and has trouble with her joints as well as seeing and hearing so she probably won’t be around for much longer but we still love her.
Name one thing not many people know about you. I have to wear 2 contact lenses in one eye. I have a condition called keratoconus, which means that the cornea of my eye is weakened and cone shaped. To be able to see properly I need to wear a hard contact lens so that I have a smooth surface to focus through, but I find the hard lens can be irritating to my eye so I also wear a disposable soft lens underneath the hard one to cushion it and make it more comfortable.
Have you ever gone scuba diving? If you haven’t, would you want to? No I haven’t. I have asthma so I’m not supposed to go scuba diving and I’m not particularly interested anyway.
What was the most important event in your life last week? (anything goes it can be a good nights sleep, finished a reading book, winning the lottery, or getting married) I went along to try a Wing Chun class and made a commitment to try it out for a few more sessions. I was encouraged to try it by my other half for fitness reasons but I also realised that I have no knowledge of self-defence techniques so that is another reason to try it out for a while.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful for a positive experience meeting parents of some of my students at the Year 7 parent-teacher evening. This week I’m very much looking forward to a visit to my hometown to catch up with family and friends.
