a great image for the challenge – and interestingly some buds appear to be aging with dignity before they have had a chance to bloom. enjoyed the mood here. thanks for sharing. and thank you for stopping by my corner and following my blog! much appreciated 🙂
Thank you for visiting. Yes the tiny buds are probably getting a bit sunburnt
I look forward to warmer weather and the Crepe Myrtles blooming. Thanks for bringing summer to my desktop.
We have plenty of summer to go around here in Australia! Stop by any time Patti 🙂
Beautiful! I wish I could smell them!
Hmm, I’ve never really been conscious of the scent of crepe myrtles, you have me curious now – I guess that is your task Kathryn?! 🙂
Yes just blame me for that Georgia on my mind ♥
I feel like a crazy person – I’ve been sticking my nose in all the crepe myrtles I find but I just can’t get much of a scent from them. Though I do have a terrible sense of smell.
I cannot remember but I thought they did….they always appear in novels as a descriptive bloom too.
Georgia — our crepe myrtles in Texas and Louisiana have a wonderful fragrance … when in bloom! 😀
It must be delicious for someone with a more normal sense of smell than I have.
I’ve only ever seen cream myrtle, this is lovely. I hope you’ll post a picture when it’s out full.
I shall try Gilly. This particular one is planted at our country residence 300km away and I’m not sure when we’ll be there next. I think I know where some others are closer by though to snap for you. Let me see what I can do 🙂
OK Gilly, look out for my six word Saturday post tomorrow – I’ve found some pink crepe myrtles in full bloom for you!
Is that now? Great colour.
Yes it is Isobel, I took this shot on 1st January.
