Because we left London in summer time, and arrived in Australia in spring time we have not experienced winter since the beginning of 2013. Having lived in the UK for the past 5 years, the Australian summer is almost too hot for me to bear, I can only sit under the fan with a good book for several hours during a 40ºC day. I’m mentally cooling off with a flick through my photos from our last great snow day in London, last January.

Much as I hate English winters and love heat, I don’t know if I would get used to months of relentless heat or if I would tire of it!
