Do you prefer to receive gifts or give them? My other half sometimes gives me gifts of computer parts or accessories that I have no idea what they are or their purpose, which confuses me. Otherwise I love receiving gifts. Often though, when it is my turn to give a gift I can’t think what would be most appropriate and tie myself up in knots trying to find the perfect gift that is within my budget. Last weekend I read on another blog about a little girl in Canada who is very ill and has a Christmas wish to receive ornaments from all over the world. Read her story here and here. That was one of the best gifts I’ve given and would definitely prefer to be a giver than a receiver. If you would like to help out, you could also send an ornament (apparently angels, doves and stars are favoured) to:
117 Bay Street
Victoria Harbour ON
L0K 2A0 Canada
If you could be given ANY gift what would it be? A house. Or a holiday. Or just lots and lots of money.
If you had a shelf for your three most special possessions (not including photos, people or pets), what would you put on it? My Statue of Liberty souvenir mug that I don’t use any more because I’m too scared that I’ll break it. My super warm ‘sleeping bag’ jacket that I absolutely love but probably won’t wear in a while since it doesn’t get that cold in Sydney. And the spare key for my car because my car wouldn’t fit on the shelf but it would represent how much I love my car and I’d always know where the spare key was if I needed it.
Would you spend the weekend in an abandoned house in the forest? I’m imagining this to be something like the cabin that Walter White spent some time in during the final season of Breaking Bad. If it was just for the weekend, had lots of spare firewood and was slightly better kitted out than the cabin in the show then it shouldn’t be a problem.
