Last weekend I went to the annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition at Bondi Beach. This artwork of glass feet was particularly eerie, like the footprints of ghosts. This sculpture is titled ‘once removed’ by Robert Barnstone.

Oh I love it and yes it is a little eerie, I imagine even more so at dusk.
Very cool, and a little bit creepy–perfect for the challenge.
just remarkable.
kudos~
These are great. Hope you enjoyed the exhibition. I so wanted to go to this year, but the travel budget didn’t quite stretch that far (after the UK trip). I’m on the Board of New Zealand Sculpture onShore, which is a similar, outdoor exhibition held on a cliff-top site above the beach, so I’m really interested in what other exhibitions are doing. We’re a fundraiser for Women’s Refuge, so don’t have anything like Bondi’s budget, but as Ernest Rutherford said “we don’t have any money, so we’ll have to use our brains.”

These are really eerie sculptures, Georgia. I always get a shiver down my spine when I read about body parts being washed up on shore, and these reminded of that. 😯
Love this. The originality of these shots certainly make them stand out.
Wonderfully eerie , the missing body !
