Share Your World – 2013 Week 38

What were you most likely doing on this day when you were 12 years old? I was almost definitely going to school. I was in my final year of primary school, in fact it would’ve been the final term of the year so I probably felt pretty clever and grown up being about to move on to secondary school. I probably also had some sort of after school commitment like netball practise, swimming or a piano lesson.

If you could write about, paint a picture or photograph any scenery you’ve seen before, what scene would you use? I’d go back in time to my childhood and photograph family Christmas gatherings when everyone was together. I have fond feelings for these times but I don’t have clear memories of the scenes.

What is one of your favorite quotes? I have a few favourite quotes but I’m going to share two, one is fun and one is almost a guide for life.

“Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.” ― G.K. Chesterton

“Remember then: there is only one time that is important – Now! It is the most important time because it is the only time when we have any power. The most necessary man is he with whom you are, for no man knows whether he will ever have dealings with anyone else, and the most important affair is, to do him good, because for that purpose alone was the man sent into this life!” — Leo Tolstoy 1903

What is your favorite type of dog?  (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie) I like small fluffy white dogs like my mum’s dog Lily.Lily
