Six Word Saturday:
Show has something interesting for everyone.
It’s been several years since I went to the annual Royal Adelaide Show, in fact I think I was probably in secondary school still when I last went. I remember the fun of going on the rides and taking days to decide which show-bags to get. Now I enjoyed seeing the variety of things actually at the show, including various competitions, presentations and all the animals.
Happy Saturday everyone!
Wonderful photos!! It looks like an interesting show and a trip down memory lane for you 🙂
Thanks very much, it really was fun
Such lovely colourful photos. Have a great day.
Thank you Viv, you too!
Great photos–I feel like I’m there! What a wonderful day.
Thanks so much!
Great photos! I haven’t been to our fair in years either!
Thank you Judy! It was nice to go back after such a long break
Oh my goodness, your photos are fantastic, and if I didn’t know better I’d say you were at our own Minnesota State Fair! Very delightful, and the best fun ever!
Thanks so much Karen!
Great photos! It looks like a good day out.
Thank you Elaine, it really was
Beautiful show post. Love the selections!
Thanks so much Amy
Love that first cake! And the lizard looks very interested in the proceedings.
You seem to be settling straight back in to “down under” style, Georgia. Hope it’s been a happy move. 🙂
It is stunning isn’t it. I think they are Australian flowers on the front, not that I know much about that. I’m still kind of on holidays right now so everything is peachy thank you!
i love all of your pictures. I remember one of the highlights of going to the shows was getting as many bags as possible! Thanks for that fun memory. It has been almost 40 years for me!
Thank you Mlissabeth! We always had a budget I’m sure so the challenge was to get the show bags with the most treats for the smallest outlay
I remember them being free, with a bunch of advertising, but maybe I am wrong. It was a long time ago.
Ah, that would make a big difference! I would certainly collect them all if they were free, but sadly not in my lifetime.
The cake featuring the Protea is a work of art.
It sure is Colline! Did you see the flower pot one, it is also a cake – very clever, I think.
Wow! That’s a cake!
I know!
