Cygnets

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday so we went for a ride around the docks. It was a great delight to see this family of swans swimming around, exploring their patch, the parents proudly showing off their newly hatched cygnets. Each year we watch the parents build their nest and sit on their eggs day and night, and note the growth of the cygnets after they eventually hatch. I have never seen the cygnets so small before!

This is a perfect sign that spring has finally arrived. Although Cee is taking time out from her regular challenges this month, this is suited to her most recent challenge about the season of Spring.
