On a vacation what you would require in any place that you would stay? Question came from Wanderings of an Elusive Mind I now get my other half to choose accommodation whenever we go away as I have a few duds on my track record of selections. It’s not that any essentials are missing, well sometimes it is in terms of location, but I’ve picked places with minuscule rooms before so that is one of my requirements – space to at least walk around the bed without banging your feet. Some other things I really need are electricity, cleanliness, a warm enough room, a comfortable bed and decent lighting in the bathroom to be able to put in my contact lenses. I can manage without a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities because I only need one coffee with breakfast to get me through the day. And I’m used to not having a TV so would almost never turn it on in a hotel room, particularly if it is in a different language.
If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels? I’d never considered myself a writer in any way, shape or form of the word, until I participated in Small Stones in January of this year. I can write in snippets but I don’t understand poems and my attention span is definitely not long enough to write a novel.
What’s your favorite song of the moment? I don’t have one, although I do have a favourite album of the moment, which is Buddha Bar – VIII (CD2 New York) – it gets me in a good mood on my way to work each morning and it is so good that I can’t even choose a favourite track as I love it all.
If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top items on your wish list? For a new home I would like it to be facing the sun (south facing if in the northern hemisphere, north facing if in the southern hemisphere), have parking, gas cooking, decent sized living space, lots of storage space, a garden and not too far from services. As I’ve gotten used to a sunset view, it would be nice to keep that too.
