Small Stones #5: 528 steps up

St Paul's CathedralMy legs are already stiff from new years resolution exercises. 100 steps up I start to feel the burn of lactic acid in my muscles. Pause for contemplation after 257 steps, sit for a while, rest. As I continue to 376 steps, I sense each of the muscles in my hamstrings and gluteals. Climbing to 528 steps, elation takes over as we reach the pinnacle. Different muscles working on the 528 stops down. With each step I feel my quadriceps quiver like jelly. Not going to the gym today.jan13large
