Six Word Saturday:
One more week of daily blogging.
They say that everyone has a novel in them, so several years ago I tried out the national (although it seems to be international) novel writing month (NaNoWriMo), a month where you commit to writing every day with a goal of producing a 50,000 word novel during November.
It turned out that I didn’t have a novel in me, not yet at least.
So, when I saw hints of a national blog posting month (NaBloPoMo) I thought that was more my style and I’ve been participating this month by blogging every day. Click on the button on the left for more information.
Although I have really enjoyed the challenge of posting daily and am delighting in having regular visitors here, I am a little sad that for me the time it takes to be posting daily means that I have less time to read and visit other blogs.
I will finish off this month with daily posts and then go back to blogging whenever it suits me – which may even be daily, or it may not.

Blogging everyday is a challenge but a worthy one.
Absolutely Wayne. Where do you find the time though?
I definitely DO NOT have a novel in me. Daily blogging? Nope.
Straight to the point as usual Ron 🙂
If I have a novel in me, I am certain that it will take more than a month to write it. I did look at the pre-plans of writing a novel during November but they didn’t convince me. Now – blogging? that’s a whole other story! Happy writing Georgia – good job!
Thanks Lesley. Will you write your novel one day?
It remains to be seen. I have several ideas but no inspiration as of yet. Tackling a novel may not be the best avenue because I seem to be better at other things. That could change though so I will wait for a big sign (that I can’t miss) from the Universe 😀
Good luck with the writing. I’d love to write a novel, but don’t think I could make the time to sit for hours every day, writing. Then there’s all the research involved. Maybe one day. 🙂
Yes, maybe one day. I won’t completely rule it out, which is why I said I don’t have a novel in me yet.
I went through a phase where I wrote a post every day because I thought it would be better for my readers… but then I found that I was writing because I had to … not because I wanted to… Now I just write when I want to…
Ah yes, I think that is a good motto. Thanks Brenda
I jnow what you mean about blogging every day – I feel the same. There’s less time available for reading other blogs! On the whole I am enjoying posting every day, and having more visitors.
Same here, thanks for taking the time to visit my blog Elaine.
I guess there is a happy balance in there somewhere! Sometimes I feel the same way! Hoping we both find that balance. (:>)
Yes Linda, in everything we have to find a balance don’t we. Thanks for the encouragement.
Good on you! The last two years I participated in Art Every Day Month at http://www.creativeeveryday.com, but I just didn’t have time this year. I get to my posts when I can.
Oh wow, I didn’t know about that one – it sounds really fun. Well done Mlissabeth.
Well done you! No way I’d want to post daily- I’d have no life left.
Haha ;o)
Hang in there! 🙂
Thanks Inger. Nearly there!
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
Thanks Russel, you too!
Great job!
Thank you Dana
