Share Your World

I said I would play along sometime, and now here I am.

Each week the fabulous Cee Neuner poses 4 questions to answer, thereby sharing your world. So here goes…

  1. How many rings before you answer the phone? – as few as possible.
  2. If you were to be on a reality TV show which one would you be on and why? – I don’t watch any reality TV shows so I don’t know what types of shows are available these days but I do remember one being about starting up a restaurant business. That is something I’ve always kind of wanted to do but have never been sure if I really could do it.
  3. What’s your middle name?  Why? –  my middle name is a trans-literation of my Chinese name 雅 雯, I write it as Nga-Mun. It is pronounced in two parts: Nga rhymes with star and to say it think of how the word ‘sing’ ends with the ‘ng’ sound and add an ‘ah’ sound after it with a rising tone. Mun sounds like it looks, think of the word ‘man’ in a Jamaican accent with a flat tone. I think the name means something like beautiful and elegant – obviously my grandmother had high hopes when she chose it for me.
  4. Is the glass half empty or half full? What is in the glass? –  my glass is half full, usually of water, sometimes of coffee and occasionally red wine.

How would you answer these questions?

  1. I’m thrilled you decided to join in the fun this week!!! I loved your answers. And the show about opening a restaurant was pretty good!!! Thanks so much for the explanation and pronunciation of your middle name.

    • Thanks Christina. I tried NaNoWriMo once and found out that I definitely don’t have a novel in me, at least the one that I was trying to write at the time was a real struggle. But I can definitely have a go at the National Blog Posting Month. Only 9 days in… let’s see if I can continue
