I first heard of the infectiously positive Cee Neuner a few months ago when other bloggers that I follow posted answers to her Share Your World questions. I thought Cee must be a very interesting person to keep coming up with these questions week after week so I sought to follow Cee’s Life Photography blog as well. Although I’ve not (yet) posted any answers to Share Your World, I feel much more willing to participate in Cee’s latest idea, the Fun Foto Challenge, as my photography is something I’m currently working to develop.
This week’s challenge is to post my favourite images. I found it quite difficult to narrow it down to just three photos as I like different things about different images. Somehow I’ve already managed to post all of these favourite images elsewhere on my blog so instead of rehashing the stories, I’ll tell you why I like them. Click on the image if you want to go to the original blog post.
I love this first image because it is my favourite silhouetted skyline view of London, from my home. I particularly like the vividness of the colours of the sunset that I managed to capture in this image.
This next photo was a bit of a fluke capture but I had been practicing with a wide aperture trying to get the foreground in focus and the background fuzzy, which showed up amazingly well in this shot, although I’m not entirely sure how I did it.
This photo of breakfast out was a definite deliberate attempt again at using a wide aperture to focus the foreground and blur the background. I was really pleased with how the sandwich is featured yet everything else about the breakfast experience is still there.

There’s some awesome photos there, and I agree, the red sunrise is stunning
Thanks so much Alastair
My favourite is the sunset as well.
Thanks Colline, do you have a reason for liking that one or is it just a gut feeling?
I think it is the colours and the silhouette you have captured. Has a sense of peace about it.
I love the lavender, even if the focus maybe on the bee. Lavender woos me
At one stage we were thinking of having a lavender farm back in Australia, I love it too.
Such beautiful photos. I especially like the first one. Thanks so much for playing along!
Thanks so much for hosting Cee!
Lovely choices, Georgia!
Thanks so much Naomi. Is there one photo that you like more than the others?
I am so glad you found my blog, Georgia. I really like what I have seen of your work. What I like best about your photos is your openness in your description of why you like them. (I do like the bee and lavender, though.) I too am just learning and so often I really like what comes out of my camera but not sure how to do it again. 🙂 At this point I just take lots and lots of them and usually one of them will be what I want. I do a lot of deleting of bad images. I try to take photos every day and with practice I’m beginning to be more deliberate in what I am doing. A big learning curve but so much fun.
Thanks Pat, I really liked your photography too. Yes, it helps to have a lot of photos to choose from so I take a lot too – need to upgrade the memory in my computer!
