Ailsa at Where’s My Backpack? posts some lovely stories and fantastic photos. She also issues a weekly travel theme challenge, which I have participated in once before with Travel Theme: Flowers. This week’s challenge is to feature a silhouette, you really should see Ailsa’s post full of eyecatching images featuring silhouettes – click here.
My contribution this week is definitely a travel photo. It was our last night in Seville, Spain. We were taking a tapas hop through the Jewish quarter near where we were staying, to enjoy a glass of sangria and to try different tapas dishes at each bar or restaurant. That was the plan anyway, I think we only ended up going to two or three different places each time staying a little longer than originally planned.
I have no idea of the name of the last restaurant that we went to, I couldn’t take you there either but it was not close to the main tourist centre and it was getting late. In fact, it was almost 11pm when we arrived asking if the kitchen would still be open for some indecisive Australians.
After searching menus for days for my favourite gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns), we were also offered giant prawns (perhaps more the size of yabbies) to try along with some other delicious tapas dishes and our jug of sangria. I was quite happily satisfied with our choice of restaurant at this point.
While sipping the last of my sangria I noticed my silhouette on my other half’s shirt so I had to quickly snap it before we toddled off to find our hotel.
Keep working ,great job!
What a fun shot!
😉 Thanks Naomi!
