I love living near the water. The sound of the waves can soothe me to sleep and simply stepping out on our balcony to this beautiful vista calms me in so many ways.
Living so close to the Thames is not all beer and skittles though – for the first month or two of living here I couldn’t look out of the windows without getting sea-sick, even though we are firmly on dry land. And the number of party boats that go past our place, particularly in summer, can drive you perfectly insane.

Great shot! I love seeing the Thames, but I don’t see it every day. It is a short walk though so when I need a fix I can go.
