Today is the first day of an extra long weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Sixty years as reigning monarch are certainly worth celebrating and there are many events happening over the next few days.
Tomorrow’s main event is a river pageant on the Thames, so today I expect to see many many boats heading upriver towards central London in preparation for joining the flotilla. Hopefully the weather improves for tomorrow.Although we have a great view of the River Thames we are a long way downriver of the end of the pageant. But what goes up must come down, so the river will probably be just as busy tomorrow afternoon after the event.
How will you celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee?
